Our job is to give you the facts about a slot and point you to casinos that are legal where you live. Here is how we do that.
Where our numbers come from
- RTP, volatility and top win come from the game studio’s published data. Where several RTP settings exist, we show the highest and tell you to check the version your casino runs.
- Licences are checked against iGaming Ontario’s list of regulated sites and the AGLC registry in Alberta.
- Claims about popularity or performance link to their source.
How we keep pages current
- Every review shows the date it was last checked.
- We recheck reviews and casino lists at least every 90 days, and sooner when a regulator or studio announces a change.
- Casinos that lose their licence are removed straight away.
How our verdicts work
We don’t score or rank slots against each other. Each review says who a slot suits and when to think twice, based on its volatility, features and top win.
How we score casinos
A casino has to be on the iGaming Ontario or AGLC registry before we’ll list it. Licensed casinos are then scored out of 10, with four areas worth up to 2.5 points each:
- Games: library size, number of studios, live casino, exclusives and extras such as bingo.
- Payments: methods (especially Interac), minimums and published withdrawal times.
- Mobile: whether there’s an app and its average rating from Canadian App Store users. Browser-only sites score lower.
- Support: live chat hours (24/7 scores highest), channels and response times.
We use published facts: the casino’s own site and terms, regulator registries, app store ratings and independent reviews, all cited on each review page. Scores are rechecked at least every 90 days. Commission never changes a score: a casino that pays us more doesn’t rank higher.
How we use AI
We use AI tools to help research and draft pages. Every page is checked against the sources listed on it before it’s published, and our editor reviews published pages regularly. If you spot an error, tell us and we’ll fix it.
